Patient safety is fundamental to high-quality care. The North West London Patient Safety Collaborative (PSC) works with partners across the system to reduce avoidable harm, improve outcomes and strengthen the experience of care for patients, families and staff.
Hosted by Imperial College Health Partners (ICHP), the Health Innovation Network for North West London, the PSC brings together providers, commissioners and system partners to deliver national patient safety improvement priorities in our region.
We support organisations across North West London to make care safer by combining practical improvement expertise with system-wide collaboration.
Our team offers expertise in quality improvement, systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, pathway co-design and organisational or team-based culture change – helping partners turn evidence, insight and ambition into meaningful change.

Our work aligns with the national patient safety strategy and current NHS improvement priorities, with a focus on areas where collaboration and practical support can make the greatest difference to outcomes and equity of care.

Sharing and scaling good practice – we identify, adapt and spread effective practice from across North West London and beyond.
Implementation support – we help partners apply improvement methods, develop pathways, strengthen leadership and co-design tailored approaches.
Evaluation and impact – we support qualitative and quantitative evaluation, including PPIE, to understand outcomes and demonstrate impact.
