Imperial College Health Partners (ICHP)’s Innovation Support Team, has launched the ICHP Innovation Associates Programme – a new flagship offer designed to open the door for NHS staff across North West (NW) London to get involved in the health innovation landscape.

The Innovation Support Team provides expertise and hands-on support to health innovators that are looking to spread and scale their work across the system.
The ICHP Innovation Associate Programme is open to any NW London NHS staff member who is curious about innovation and wants to explore opportunities to contribute, learn, and connect. It is intentionally flexible and accessible, with no minimum time commitment or prior experience required.
As an Innovation Associate you can:
- Choose how involved you want to be
- Access early opportunities in health innovation
- Build new skills, networks, and career pathways
- Join a community of innovation-curious peers.
The programme is not
- A training course
- A fellowship
- A funded employment opportunity
This programme is designed to be a flexible gateway into innovation, not a formal, structured placement.
How to join
Simply sign up to our Innovation Associates Community mailing list: Innovation Associate Programme
Once registered, you will be welcomed onto the programme and begin receiving our monthly newsletter, which highlights health-innovation activities and opportunities you can get involved in.
These may include:
- Joining the ICHP Innovation Associates Community of Practice forum with peers
- Attending health-innovation webinars
- Accessing early information on innovation-related work and CPD
- Contribute to real-world innovation projects aligned to your interests and expertise.
Who can join
The programme is open to anyone working within the NW London footprint across:
- NHS organisations
- Healthcare settings
- Higher education institutions.
Focus areas
When signing up, you will be asked to share your areas of interest and expertise. This helps us connect you with relevant opportunities across our evolving portfolio of work.

- General Health Innovation

- Commercial and Partnerships
- Real-World Evidence
- Improving Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Care
- Supporting Children and Young People’s Mental Health – Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Even if your interests fall outside of these areas, we encourage you to share them. Our project landscape is constantly evolving, and future commissions may align closely with your expertise.
