Rafal is a Data Scientist with a PhD in Statistics, MSc in Statistics and Operational Research and BSc in Finance and Mathematics.

Rafal’s PhD thesis focused on applications of machine learning techniques for functional annotation of microbial communities, and for his MSc thesis he developed and algorithm for solving discrete optimisation problems.

Rafal’s most recent experience includes lecturing at the University of Essex in Data Science and working as a Data Scientist at an innovative biomedical firm.
