Organisations who have worked with Imperial College Health Partners have shared their feedback and experiences in an independent report, published today (09 June).
Last year (2019) NHS England/Improvement and the Office for Life Sciences commissioned Savanta ComRes to carry out an independent evaluation to explore and evaluate the views of Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) stakeholders.
As the AHSN for North West London, ICHP was one of the organisations evaluated, with Savanta ComRes conducting online surveys and phone interviews with stakeholders in health and social care, private and voluntary sectors, national and local governance bodies, research and academia, patient groups and the general public.
Participants were asked about topics including familiarity with and perceptions of AHSNs, evaluations of AHSNs’ communications, services, support, work programmes and cross-regional working, and perceived opportunities and challenges for AHSNs in the future.

Key finding highlighted in the report included:
- Stakeholders consistently praise ICHP’s ability to turn data into unique insights that have provided value for their organisation.
- The team at ICHP are considered major assets to the organisation, frequently being described by stakeholders as being well organised and having a broad range of contacts for different queries.
- Stakeholders are keen to see ICHP involve more individuals from different regions and backgrounds in projects to make them larger scale and more inclusive.
