Having joined ICHP as Senior Innovation Advisor in August 2022, Sarah has spent over ten years developing and delivering innovation and capacity strengthening programmes in the humanitarian and development sector. This has included direction of an innovation fund, designed to help the humanitarian sector use the power of innovation to be bolder and push the boundaries of business as usual to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its programming. The fund focused on challenging the humanitarian system’ status quo and funded programmes aiming to drive more locally led solutions and participative approaches.
Sarah has previously worked as Content Director for One Young World, collaborating with luminaries, academics, global corporations and entrepreneurs to connect, inspire and provide enterprise and innovation skills to help propel the work of young leaders creating positive change around the world.
She is passionate about developing skills, fostering collaboration, promoting evidence-based decision-making and instilling an innovative culture across the teams and organisations she has been involved with.
