Anna joined ICHP in January 2025 as a Qualitative Insights and Engagement Manager.
She is passionate about rigorous qualitative research and its potential to improve health and social care outcomes. Anna believes in fostering partnerships between patients, the public, and researchers, ensuring that the voices of those directly affected shape the direction and outcomes of research.
She is also dedicated to dismantling health inequalities. Anna led a rapid review to develop anti-racist practices for racially minoritised nurses and midwives within the NHS. The findings from this review were used to create a best practice resource published by NHS England.
Anna holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Social Research Methods. She is currently completing her PhD, funded by the ESRC and NIHR ARC North Thames, which focuses on the experiences of depression among Black women. Her mixed-methods PhD research was conducted in collaboration with two NGOs and an advisory board of experts by lived experience.
