Imperial College Health Partners is delighted to announce that the London Asthma Decision Support Tool (LADS),a collaboration between North West London ICS, South East London ICS, Imperial College Health Partners and Vizify, has been shortlisted for at the HSJ Awards in the Data-Driven Transformation Award, recognising an outstanding contribution to healthcare and securing a place at the prestigious awards ceremony later this year.
A ‘record-breaking’ 1456 entries have been received for this year’s Awards, with 223 projects and individuals reaching the final shortlist, making it the biggest awards programme in the award’s 43-year history. The high volume – and exceptional quality – of applications once again mirrors the impressive levels of innovation and care continually being developed within the UK’s healthcare networks.
Following the thorough judging process, Imperial College Health Partners was shortlisted, ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held later this year (November 16), with LADs standing out as a real ‘success story’ worthy of a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.
LADS brings together air pollution, demographic and social deprivation data with routinely collected NHS data for the first time ever. Linking data in this way will not only allow clinical teams to intervene much earlier in the patient pathway and improve outcomes, but also focus on identifying and investigating areas of health inequity across the capital.
Dr Sarah Elkin, Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at Imperial & Co- Clinical Director of the London Respiratory Clinical network said :“It’s fantastic that this project has been shortlisted for the HSJ Awards 2023. We are so proud to have the opportunity to share our learnings and success with colleagues from across the entire sector – particularly as we hope to be able to extend the use of this tool across London. The true power of this data is that it will allow an understanding of outcomes across a population enabling increased support and intervention to be delivered to areas of need.”
The HSJ Awards will take place at Evolution in London on 16 November 2023.
