Parashar joined Imperial College Health Partners (ICHP) in June 2018 as a Healthcare Consultant to the Integrated Care Team.
Parashar is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital where he works with people who have been paralysed. He obtained degrees in medicine and neuroscience from King’s College London. He has held various roles in national and international health policy including being a National Medical Director’s Fellow and working with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and NHS London on commissioning for innovation. He spent a year at Columbia University in New York as a Harkness Fellow in Healthcare Policy .
Parashar has had a longstanding focus on how health services can provide whole-person care that meets the emotional, physical and social needs of individuals and continues to conduct high-impact research on the topic. He is hoping to bring his insights and experience to help develop integrated care systems across ICHP’s partner organisations.
