Charlotte Douglas

Innovation Advisor

Charlotte joined ICHP in September 2021 as an Innovation Advisor following a post-doctoral fellow position at the Institut Curie in Paris. She holds a PhD in genetics and genome editing from the Francis Crick Institute and King’s College London. She has a first-class undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Bath and completed an internship at the Science Media Centre press office.

During her PhD and post-doctoral work, Charlotte has been involved in multiple science communication and public outreach projects, particularly regarding genome editing, CRISPR/Cas9 and reproductive biology. She has recently published a number of feature articles. She is passionate about improving healthcare and population health outcomes by helping to implement collaborative, evidence-driven and research-based programmes with a strong communication and inclusion aspect.
