Like Minded workshop: Physical Health of People with Severe and Enduring Mental Health Needs
Imperial College Health Partners and Like Minded invite health professionals and the interested public to a workshop about supporting the physical health of people with severe and enduring mental health needs.
On Monday 6 February we look at different approaches to providing health checks and prevention for this population. We will also look at how to address prevention needs, especially in terms of smoking cessation, obesity prevention and raising health awareness in this population.
The workshop kicks off a project on improving the physical health of people with severe and enduring mental health needs, especially in the primary and acute care sectors.
The session will include discussion and presentations with:
- Kate Dale, mental health nurse and physical health project lead for Bradford District Care Trust;
- Dr Serena Foo, GP Clinical Lead and Governing Body member, Ealing CCG;
- Dr Ed Beveridge, Consultant Psychiatrist at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust ;
- Rubyni Krishnan, Deputy Service Manager One you Ealing/ West London Mental Health Trust.
